The purpose of this study is to analyze the curricula and contents in the textbook of urban administration education in Korea.
Six unversities in our country have the department of urban administration. Even though almost depatrments provide average 32 subjects in their curriculum, there are few common subjects in six university. And there are rare practical training subjects in his curriculum.
The textbooks of urban administration in 1970' and 1980' contained the knowledge and information for urban development. On the otherhand there were knowledges and informations for the urban policies and city management technics in the textbooks of 1990' and 2000'.
I suggested the federation of Department of Urban Adminstration in six universities that we set up the standard in the curricula and contents in the textbook of urban administration education.
