While being from April, 1935 after Hidemutsu Tanaka "love, youth, and life" start for their new assignment to Keijyo as an office worker until it gets married after graduating from University as the Kawamura Minato says, "It will be satisfactory even if it thinks that it is Hidemutsu Tanaka's First-person novel" until it gets married to February, 1937, the almost actual occurrence of a before is mostly drawn on the stage in this Keijyo.
Although "I" of a hero was always holding "the lonesomeness which becomes one person", the places which can beguile the solitary feeling of city life were the Japanese towns centering on MITSUKOSHI, such as Honcho(Present: Chummuro). and Meiji-cho (Present: Myongdong). The action of "I" which lives in Korea alone must also have been made to go to nature and the center of such a city from homesickness, as people of Keijyo carried the leg to MITSUKOSHI or Honcho in quest of the atmosphere of Tokyo.
Although "my" thought of wanting to write a good work is made to go to the town of night in quest of alcohol or a woman by the feeling of solitary feeling. But, also as for it, only futility and self-hate remain after all. The unstable psychology of "me" so that vacillates lile a pendulum is projected there by walking along town to town of a hamper in the dual structure of same unstable colony city called a Japanese town and a Korean town. That is, in this work, if it. Says, the thing which is exactly that reading a city reads the psychology of "me" and for which the correspondence relation is read will be the purpose of this paper.
