The foundation of Koguryo by ju-mong's(朱蒙) group was considered that it was a movement of residents in Buyeo(夫餘). Because this was written in Inscription and other historical resources.
Ju-mong' s group adopted the stone tomb of pyramid type who is native in settlement area. This showed that Ju-mong's group established Koguryo using power of native. The evidence is that Koguryo took over Old-Koguryo which was located in Yalu river. And because of that, the royal family of Koguryo was named North-Boyeo in Inscription.
But in Inscription and other historical resources said, they were from East-Buyeo. So, it means that East-Buyeo existed before the establishment of Ju-mong's group, not after 285.
And also Buyeo in Samguksaki(三國史記) and Buyeo in Samgukji(三國志) were different. Buyeo in Samgukji was located in Jilin sheng(省) area, the other hand, Buyeo in Samguksaki was located in the eastern part of Koguryo and Tumen river.
In 494, East-Buyeo was subjugated to Koguryo, so the receiving the mantle of Buyeo was disconnected.
Actually, Ju-mong' s group was from East-Buyeo, but East-Buyeo was dependent on Koguryo. In 538, King Sung(聖王) of Bakjae changed the name of country to South-Buyeo. Corresponding to this, Koguryo seized Buyeo and East-Buyeo.
In this point of view, it was considered that Dongmyeong(東明) was the founder of Koguryo. It means that Dongmyeong and Ju-mong were identical. That is to say, the hero of Ju-mong tale was changed to Dongmyeong.
