This article critiques the universal and standard curriculum that ignores the particularities and uniqueness of Korean-American youths in a multicultural society and suggests a multicultural church curriculum that embraces the varieties and differences of the Korean-American youth. This article argues that the Christian education paradigm should be changed from exclusion-orientation to embrace-orientation just as a body embraces all of its parts. While the traditional church curriculum focuses on universalism that excludes differences and others, this multicultural Korean-American curriculum develops mutuality and interdependence in harmony with others in the church. This multicultural Korean-American curriculum seeks four goals to encounter others, to be aware of otherness, to heal exclusion and separation, and to act in hope. These are not only four goals, but also a process to learn to empathize and sympathize with others and to empower people to have hope for the future. This multicultural curriculum can be applied to the Korean-American youth.
