Film-based movie production and exhibition is about 100 years old and therefore very mature in technology and established operational practices.
For over 100 years, the world has enjoyed the 35㎜ standard for presenting movies. The basic unified standard for all of film with optical track, and the flexibility within the standard about aspect ratios, etc., has been crucial for movies' success, It is natural that technology changes as time goes by.
Today, the industry is rightfully concerned about the impact that digital cinema will have on interoperability. And it will have the advantage that is the progress and convenience of technology. There is the biggest advantage of digital cinema that processing is easy in free form. This means that digital films can become soft transmission and screening than film soon. Therefore, the digital cinema system may have to build on the digital transmission upside that can transmit data freely. Digital is certain implement that can improve future human quality of life certainly. However, outright selection can bring much damages in the Consumption for time and money. Digital is the future technology, so we must get the convenience through preparing for Digital Cinema war.
