This study aims to rethink Kim, Yu-jeong's works from the view of masochistic desire which penetrates the origin of his works. In his novels, domination and violence has a close connection with desire. Masochistic desire is that of the son-slave who wants to be dominated by the mother-master. This provokes laughter through punishing the father which hides in son with mother's whip.
Kim Yu-jeong denied patriarchal master(rule, system, capitalism) with the image of violent father and elder brother as depicted in the autobiographical novels like Elder brother, Partner of life. He punishes violent patriarchal master in his insight through researching a good oral mother in old whore, Park, Nock-ju. He affirms ideal mother who supports with prostitution and raises a child, like Del-byeong-i in Gypsy in Chosun, A pot, who dominates and teaches mans through having sex without ownership in rules of a temporary contract. Through the desire of being slave who is dominated with a good oral mother, Del-byeong-i, Kim, Yu-jeong connected the aesthetics of laughter and that of violence. The shape of woman-master and man-slave forms special aesthetics with a close connecting of violence and desire in A camellia and Spring.
