In this postmodern culture, people seem to experience the feelings of "homelessness," "helplessness," "fragmentation," "disconnectedness," "purposelessness," whether or not they realize. Therefore, as Christian educators we have responsibilities to assess what is going on in society and to figure out the problematic that society faces. In order to find out the problematic(s), Christian educators are required to interpret the cultural and social context and to find a clue to solve the it. As soon as the clue is found, the educational processing (i.e., contextual diagnose - figuring out the clue - theorizing - experimenting the theory in the selected field - assessing & modifying the theory - implementing the reformulated theories into praxis in circulation) can begin. In the process, the key terms used in the paper were defined (i.e., postmodern, culture, wholistic, and teaching). Then, several Christian educators' proposals such as Richard Robert Osmer, Charles R. Foster, Maria Harris, etc. were introduced and assessed in depth.
Through the analytical reasearch, it is found that the clue for the twenty-first postmodern culture has to do with both forming a community of faith and implementing the highly skilled teaching, which is biblically and theologically sound and psychologically proven. Therefore, Christian educators must work together to build a warm and loving atmosphere through worship and fellowship in the faith community and utilize the teaching of connoisseurship. Then the people in this isolated and fragmented culture can find their nest in the community of faith, and they will be nurtured and will nurture others to become mature believers in God through faithful teaching.
