Although adults are a main trajectory of Christian spiritual formation, they were neglected for a while. However, during the past few decades, James Fowler’s Faith Development Theory (FDT) has been strongly influencing Christian spiritual development, including Christian adult education, and it causes Christian adult educators and pastors to open their eyes to “adult” as a main trajectory of Christian education. Nevertheless, its linear and cognitive understanding of spiritual development is not enough when it comes to dealing with today’s complicated technological world. This paper, therefore, discusses the possibility of an alternative way for today’s Christian adult educators and pastors to respond to a more complex technical world. That is a hybrid community of faith, which is a blended attempt for an online and face-to-face community of faith.
