This paper attempts to propose a practical method for conserving cultural inheritances; a method by which attributions of objects are systematically arranged and classified. Cultural inheritances have been those of established values of 'time', 'space', or 'norm' itself. That is why it is hard to deal with in the urban discourse or architectural practices. In treating this problem, and as an exploratory scheme, the "Morphological Box Method", a typological method which F. Zwicky and other urban and architectural pupils thereafter had theorized earlier is adapted. Some cultural assets of the traditional walled city, Haw-Sung(old name of Soowon), are described as a case study. The objectives of this research are two-fold: first, it offers an arrangement framework to classify and inform of the data, for conservation purposes, of cultural inheritances that are scattered all throughout the country. Second, it will help to consider and apply the creative and diversified ways of conservation systematically.
