Many people have frequently criticized the art history in Korean history textbook because there are too descriptions of artistry more than those of historicity. Thus, this paper tried to check over the descriptions of artifacts in Korean history textbook. For this, I accepted DBAE theory which divide into art criticism, aesthetics, art history and art production, Among four areas, art production is not applicable to the appreciation of artifacts in Korean history book. So it is ruled out. According to the result of analysis, there are not mixed equally artistry and historicity. Art criticism which is applicable to the first impression and assessments of artifacts is the most prominent, while aesthetics is barely presented. Meantime, art history is a few in ancient time but as time go on, it is represented in abundance. Especially, in the latter time of Joseon Dynasty it can be found all among 6 artifacts. Therefore, the criticisms of established papers which have more artistry than historicity in the Korean history book are limited the works of art in ancient time. In other words, the works of art in middle age, modern times and the latter time of the Joseon Dynasty well described historicity as well as artistry. Rather there is a serious problem which the descriptions of artistry and historicity do not combined systematically. Mainly, the descriptions combined with historicity and artistry are appeared like this while artistry contained art criticism and aesthetics is united coherently. So many students are in confusion without knowing the reasons which represented some of descriptions.
