This essay researches people's genealogy and their ideological characters of main power groups in educational circle during the period of constructing new Korea. Their educational ideology generally corresponds to political disposition.
Members of leading power groups in education circle are Korean educational administrators of U.S. military government, members of Korean Committee on Education(韓國敎育委員會) and ones of National Committee on Educational Planning(朝鮮敎育審識會). The majority of them belong to Korean Democratic Party(韓國民主黨), and have been grown up from landed class or family of property. Many of them have been to Japan or U.S.A. for studying, and cherish the Christianity. So, their educational ideology is American democracy. They effort to spread child-centered pedagogy by John Dewey into school.
Society of Korean Education(朝鮮敎育硏究會) is organized by people who have been to Europe for studying and nationalistic educators. Its members advocate nationalistic-democratic education, and pitted against members of leading power groups in education circle. But Ahn, Ho-Sang, who wanted to utilize education for the purpose of his political aims, are in the different situation from neo-nationalists who think democratic nationalism to be culminating ideal.
Members of left wing attempt to catch the initiative of educational circle on the basis of masses of teachers. They organized Association of Korean Educator(朝鮮敎育者協會). Many of Association of Korean Educator are on the Korean People Party(朝鮮人民黨) members. They insist on strengthening self-regulation right of the teacher and the student. And they empathized that nation should endeavor to accomplish the equality of education, and set a high level of labour education.
