St Rev. Andreas, Kim, Dae-Geun(聖金大建神父) is the first Korean Catholic priest He was beheaded at Saenamteo(沙南基) on September 16 in 1846, and proclaimed the first Korean Catholic Venerable(可敬者) in 1857. After He became one of the 79 Beautifications(福者) on July 5 in 1925 at St Peter's Basilica at Rome by the Pope Pius XI. He was declared the great patron Saint for the Korean clergy on November 25 in 1949. And the memorial day of St Rev. Andreas, Kim, Dae-Geun was fixed on July 5. Finally on May 6 in 1984, he was canonized as one of the 103 Korean Catholic Saints by the Pope John Paulus Ⅱ. There are many of biographical writings and documents of himself, and the catholic church scholars have been paid attention to them. And so his birth site, the villages in which he accomplished his pastoral duties, martyred site Saenamteo and the site on which his grave had been located were developed the historical places. Therefore these places have been focused on continuously by the Korean Catholic pilgrims. I considered in this paper the memorial places as the birth place, the baptism station Eunni and the catholic villages where he said masses after his pastoral ordination on August 17 in 1845 at saenghai(上海) in China. Until nowadays, it was recognized that his birth place was Solmoe(松山) at Ugangmyeon Dangjingoon in the province of Choongcheong-namdo(忠南 唐津郡 牛江面 松山里). This was from the record in the deposition that St Rev. Mobant(羅伯多錄) had sent to the theological school in Macao. The record was that Kim, Dae-Geun Andreas was from Solmoe at Ugangmyeon Dangjingoon in the province of Choongcheong-do. Besides this record, many of the witnesses said that he was from Solmoe or from the district Naepo(內浦), likewise St Rev. Mobant. But in the record in 'Ilseong-lok' when the authority arrested him and examined, Kim Dae-geun is from Yong-in(龍仁). Whereas th records of St. Rev. Mobant and of other witnesses were all the third person's, the record when he arrested and examined was of his own direct statement. Owing to this fact I proved it in many ways and aspects. And I consider the fact that after pastoral ordination he went back to his native villages and met his mother in Eunni station(陰里公所) and stayed t.~ere with her until Easter, then he went to the shore of Hwang-hae province for search the way inviting priests and he was arrested to martyr. I also considered the Catholic villages neighboring the Eunni station and the martyrs there.
