People say that an era makes men and men make an era. Men cannot be separated from the time when he lived. Men grow as they are affected by an era. Nevertheless, Human beings make an era. Those who make an era have a dream. Tomas Carlyle said that a new era is started in the heart of dreaming persons. While we can call men who an era makes political heroes, we can call men who make an era religious martyrs. Although martyrs live on earth they are persons holding the heaven. Therefore, they are free from things which belong to the earth.
They don't live in the past but live in the future and also they are always new. Political heroes are made by the time and the people. But religious martyrs are made by God and dream.
Rev. Lee passed away 30 years ago. He was not a church's political man that an era had made but a religious martyr who had a dream and made an era. It is because he was a pure pastor and a sincere worker of God who devoted himself in the history of sufferings.
Rev. Kim, Jae Jun regarded Rev. Lee as a sacrificial offering which was given to God in the history of sufferings. He was also regarded as a being who obtains life as the third day's man. I wonder why Rev. Kim thought so? Firstly, I will take a good look at Rev. Lee's pious life. Secondly, I will argue the world of his spirit and pastoral practice as a fruit of his life.
