In this paper, I tried to study on the rare vocabularies of the ‘Eonhaeduchangjipyo(諺解痘瘡集要)’ had been published at 1608 A.D..
‘Eonhaeduchangjipyo(諺解痘瘡集要)’ is very valuable for the study on the history of Korean language because this book was published during the change time of Middle and Modern Korean language. Moreover we can use this book for the study on the history of Korean vocabulary because there are not only many vocabularies of weights & measures and vocabularies of medicinal stuffs but also many vocabularies of livelihood language.
However, according to the results of the study on this book, I could find out many Middle Korean vocabularies. Many vocabularies of them had been recorded in the Middle Korean dictionary but some of them have not been recorded yet and the meaning of some lemmas are wrongly described in the dictionary.
I hope that some of the missing lemmas and some of the wrong description of the words appearing in the Middle Korean dictionary must be recorded and corrected in the dictionary.
