This paper is a study on the ambivalence of Lee Guang-Su's Literatures in 1910's. 'The preparation argue' that appeared in the column of Lee Guang-Su in 1910's shows not only the realistic mimicry of the colonial discourse, but also the dissolution between deepening and disturbance. An aspect of 'the preparation argue' appeared 「In Daegu」 shows the ambivalent mimicry of the colonial discourse. Simultaneously, it produces the difference against the colonial discourse.
The column is assimilated by the Chongdogbu's discourse that emphasized the justification of the colony invasion. The Chondogbu represented the colony invasion discourse has double meanings. One side is to imitate themselves as civilized country. The other side is that they don't want to be equal to colonized people. On the contrary, it relates to desires of the colonized people because <Mujung> has a form that spoke for community's ideology of the colonized people. Namely, it imitates the colonial discourse on the outside and shows the dissolution and the difference in the process of the identification on the same time. <Mujung> imitates the logic of the colonial discourse asserting the imitation of the occidental civilization, criticism about the old culture, loving each other freely, and new education. However, it shows the dissolution against the colonial discourse through the important plot and character. The text is filing off. The dissolution that happened by the two positions of colonial people operates as the opportunity of the defiance in the colony and 'the gaze' against colonialism.
At the period of 1910's the reviewer must read and interpret not meaning in the outside, but the identification and difference in the background. And then we can find a lot of cracks in the literature of the colonized and recognize these cracks as a defiance. Though this process that looking for a defiance in the literature of the colonized, we can interpret the ambivalence of <Mujung> is another expression of the post-colonialism. by Homi bhabha's the concept, 'dissolution' and 'mimicry'.
