Unlike other countries in Southeast Asia, the Overseas Chinese in Vietnam had built a stable local economic base during the French colonial period and after liberation until the end of the Vietnam War. However, after being unified by North Vietnam, it suffered a very severe blow. The issue of policies toward ethnic Overseas Chinese in Vietnam after unification is one of the most important issues in understanding Vietnam's economy and culture. I also believe that it is one of the very important issues in understanding overall conditions, including policy toward foreigners. After Vietnam's reform and opening policy, a lot of capital was invested in Vietnam, and it can be said that Overseas Chinese capital also invested a lot. Amid this rush of foreign capital, I believe that the Vietnamese government's policy toward the Overseas Chinese could serve as an example for foreigners to consider when investing capital in the region. Therefore, in this text, we will discuss Vietnam's policy toward the Overseas Chinese, focusing on Vietnam's economic reform, policy toward the Overseas Chinese economy, and policy toward the culture of the Overseas Chinese.
