Graphic novels constitute a useful resource in the Spanish as a Foreign Language classroom, not only as a playful element, but also as a didactic material for complete class sessions in which various skills can be practiced. Th combination of text and images makes it easier for students to work with graphic novels, as the images allow students to understand aspects that may go beyond their current knowledge. This paper aims to argue for the use of graphic novels and comic in the Spanish as a Foreign Language class, specifically for practicing oral comprehension and expression, as well as fostering communication skills and understanding socially relevant topics in Spain that can help students gain intercultural knowledge. To this end, a proposal is offered featuring the graphic novel Everything under the sun by Ana Penyas, aimed at intermediate to advance level students (B2-C1), where the main focus is on oral skills and addressing the central theme: tourism-driven transformation.
