The purpose of this study is to explore and analyze the strategies used by the control group and to verify their effectiveness by applying the categorized strategies to the autonomy support environment. It also confirms changes in motivation levels. In Experiments 1 and 2, a golf putting task was used, and MRE and BVE were used as dependent variables. In Experiment 1, the performance, strategy, and motivation levels of the control group (C) were checked. As a result, there was no difference in the group"s performance and motivation level. However, it was found that the control group was using various strategies. In Experiment 2, the strategies extracted in Experiment 1 were divided into eight factors, detailed strategies were formed, and applied to the self-control group (SC). As a comparison group, a yoked group (YO) and a control group (CO) were used. As a result, the self-control group showed a higher learning effect than the yoked and control groups. In addition, the control group showed a statistically lower error value than the yoked group in the MRE retention test. There was no difference in the level of motivation between groups. It is necessary to explore various strategies in the field of exercise learning through the results of this study.
