Song Si-yeol was a person in the late Joseon Dynasty who played a great political role, with his name appearing more than 3,000 times in the ≪Annals of The Joseph Dynasties≫. In addition, Song Si-yeol is the only writer in Korean history who is considered the same position as a holy man by attaching the letter “子” to the name. As such, Song Si-yeol had a high political status. Song Si-yeol’s upright character and his experiences of political disappointment due to being criticized by evil groups are similar to Qu Yuan’s life, and in his ≪Anthology of Master Song≫ was able to find many elements of ≪Chuci≫. However, no research has been done on the acceptance of Song Si-yeol’s ≪Chuci≫, so it seems necessary to examine it in detail. In the Chinese poem in Song Si-yeol’s ≪Anthology of Master Song≫, there are various acceptances of ≪Chuci≫, and he was able to secure the legitimacy of his political ideology and solidify his political position by accepting animal and plant materials, people, and holidays in ≪Chuci≫ as needed. Focusing on Chinese poem in Song Si-yeol’s ≪Anthropology of Master Song≫, which played a major political role in the late Joseon Dynasty, examining the acceptance patterns of his ≪Chuci≫ is an important study in Korean literary history and is considered to play an important role in understanding Song Si-yeol’s personality and his work.
