Recently, sports organizations have faced crisis situations more often due to the increasing number of negative news. However, most sports organizations do not properly grasp the importance of crisis communication. For effective crisis communication, preparation for the crisis is necessary, and in this regard, the recent crisis of Corona 19 is a crisis that sports organizations must prepare for. Therefore, this study compared and analyzed the media response messages of KBO and K-League officials in the case of Corona 19 Positive Athletes in the League. Text data of 163 articles in 26 media were analyzed using big data analysis techniques such as web scraping through Python programming and Bayesian filter among machine learning algorithms. Through this study, KBO showed an open attitude that the secretary general, who is the general manager of the organization, promptly proceeded to direct media interviews from the beginning of the situation, but it was not effective because of a consistent and unified message. KBO should collect as much information as possible at the beginning of the crisis, but it was insufficient. In addition, the KBO''s crisis stage and federation''s post crisis stage response allowed us to infer that corrective action, justification, and ingratiation strategies could be effective if the organization''s past history and crisis responsibility were low. This study provides valuable academic and practical implications for the post-corona era in that it dealt with effective crisis communication in the context of the COVID-19 situation.
