The purpose of this study was to examine the effective communication strategies to minimize the damage on player, team, and League when the professional sport league confronted match fixing situation. We predicted that the level of responsibility of team and League for match-fixing will vary depending on the level of responsibility of the player’s. And it was predicted that when the player’s crisis responsibility on match fixing situation was low, the attitude toward the team would be positive when the team’s crisis responsibility accommodation level consistent with player’s crisis responsibility accommodation level. However, when the player’s crisis responsibility was high, the attitude toward the team would be positive when the team’s crisis response communication strategy was accommodative rather than defensive regardless of the player’s crisis responsibility level of match fixing. To verify the hypotheses, 2(player’s crisis responsibility: high/low) × 2(crisis communication strategy: defensive/accommodative) between subject factorial design was used. As a result, it was found that the responsibilities of the team and the league were recognized higher than the responsibility of the player when the responsibility of the player was low and when the player ''s responsibility is high, it showed high responsibility to both team and league. The crisis communication strategies of team and the league showed that it is more effective to use a accommodative strategy regardless of the responsibility of player. Implication, limitations and future direction will be discussed when the analysis process is finalized.
