In the hyper-connected era, the media reflection writing education plan for university students’ self-care is based on two critical issues. First, an educational plan is needed to help university students who are vulnerable to digital media reflect on their relationship with the media through writing and encourage correct media use. Second, in an era where ‘holistic care’ is emphasized, a writing education plan that can help students’ long-term well-being and emotional growth is needed.
As a result, media reflection writing led to students’ correct use of media through self-directed problem exploration. And by inducing objective understanding and evaluation of one’s own thoughts and actions, students’ voluntary and desirable behavior modification was induced. Through this teaching model, I hope that students will be able to use writing as a self-care skill outside of school and in real life.
