The history of Writing System is a valuable resource for grammar education that can be used practically and directly to help learners' linguistic growth. It allows learners to know the life history of their ancestors and reflect on their current language life. However, grammar education so far has not sufficiently realized these educational values inherent in the history of Writing Systems. Until now, education on the history of Writing System has focused on transferring knowledge about the Principles of the Borrowed Writing stems(借字表記) and the Creating Letters of Hunminjeong-eum(訓民正音). Therefore, learners could not grasp the entire history of writing systems and captuer the status and meaning of the individual writing system in it. I propose to reconstruct the educational contents on the history of the writing systems as follows. ◦ The entire history of writing systems should be construct into a single content. ◦ Chinese characters and Japanese characters should also be included in the educational contents. ◦ In the case of the Borrowed Writing stems, the aspirations of the ancestors who developed this special notation for letters and the tradition of Korean analysis premised on the process should be included as content elements. ◦ In the case of Hunminjeong-eum, not only 'the principles of Creating Letters' but also the meaning of this easy and scientific writing system should be understood by learners, focusing on the impact on the lives of our people. ◦ The Educational contents on the History of Korean Writing Systems should also include matters on the history of Korea's Writing Systems policy and education.
