The purpose of this study is to examine the explanation of the complex sentences whose system are recently established in the Sentence-Theory of Joseoneorironmunbeop and Joseoneohakjeonseo of North Korean grammar. The terminology of complex sentence such as the ‘tanil-mun, hwaktae-mun, jeonkae-mun, naepo-mun’ are different from each other, so in the viewpoint of consistency, balance, validity, (1) the basic notion, (2) composition unit, (3) type classification of the two reference book are dealt with.
While there is one composition unit, ‘tanil-mun’ and the type classification ‘uijon-mun : judo-mun’ in the complex sentences of Joseoneorironmunbeop(1987), there are various composition units, ‘bu, gu, jeol’ and the specificated type classification ‘jeonkae-mun composed of bu’, ‘naepo-mun composed of gu’, ‘bokhap-mun composed of jeol’ in the complex sentences of Joseoneohakjeonseo(2005).
Therefore the characteristics of the complex sentences of North Korean grammar is summarized as ‘the opposing classification polarization of composition unit and type classification’.
