In the closed society, North Korea, the influx of the external information into the internal territories has critically played a role as a primary factor to change the attitude of its citizens, and consequently its society. As the Korean wave ? the Hallyu ? penetrates through North Korea, the world's most reclusive country, academic interest in this phenomenon has followed. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the procedures of the North Korean authorities for crackdown, censorship on, and punishment for illegal foreign cultures. While previous research has studied on watching and distributing the South Korean visual media for civilians by surveying defectors from the North, this research is very distinctive as focusing on its influence upon the North Korean Army based on official internal documents of the North Korean government. Under the situation that Sun-Goon (military-first) Politics is a critical way to accomplish the national goal in North Korea, the soldiers’ indiscipline has developed the regime change, and weakened its durability.
