The purpose of this study is to find out if there is any bias in the selection of characters in middle school morality textbooks 1 by analyzing the characters according to their continent of origin, gender, age, and occupation, and to provide basic data for the future reconstruction of middle school morality textbooks. As for the research method, middle school morality 2 books were evaluated according to the analysis criteria. The study results were as follows. First, Both Gyohaksa and MiraeN introduce more foreign figures than domestic ones. Second, the analysis by continent revealed the characters are mainly from Asia, Europe, and North America. Third, in the future of academic history, all male characters were dominant. Fourth, deceased characters were the most common in both Gyohaksa and MiraeN. Fifth, experts and related workers accounted for the largest proportion with 58 (82.8%) of the total in Kyohaksa and 60 (95.2%) in MiraeN. As a result of the study, bias by continent, gender, and occupation were found.
