This study examines the researches - theses, dissertations, and articles published in Korea - from February 2016 to January 2017 on the effects of group art therapy programs for elementary school students in Korea through a meta-analysis. Among the variables that have impacts on elementary school students, the size of affective domain(emotional intelligence, stress, aggression, anger, depression/anxiety, and euphoria) was investigated as a dependent variable while the self-esteem and sociality - the variables that were already proven to have significant impact through various meta-analyses - were excluded. As a result, group art therapy programs for children at community child centers and mixed-grade/upper-grade(Grade 4-6) students at child welfare institutions had significant impact on depression/anxiety within the affective domain. Also, effect size of LMT evaluative tool was significant. For the number of the lessons for a program, 10-12 was significant for programs with 10 or less students. However, the numbers of lessons per week, duration of a lesson, period of a program were found nonsignificant.
