The objective of this study is to seek for the methods to solve a problem such as difficult communication with consumers when a work is created under the state in which the choreographers use the educational methods depending on polishing up excellent functions; there is no text work; and there is no intensive training for moving the theme. For the differentiation from preceding researches, the exploration was mainly focused on choreographers’ reinterpretation method for consumers, and the symbolism. As the research methods, this study intensively analyzed a 90-minute-theatrical dance work by “H” dance company based on Eugene O’Neill’s play <Desire Under The Elms>. Based on the criticism by three critics, interview with participants at that time, interview with audience, and choreographer’s intention, the results were drawn as follows. It could be summarized as reinterpretation to easy theme, set-up of logistic plot, repetitive language for friendliness, dynamic changes in objets, and utilization of symbolism of movements. In conclusion, the voyeuristic expression could arouse consumers’ imagination.
