Among LGBT, a representative social minority, transgender (T) is also a minority in minority society. Poor social views and invisible institutional pressures on transgender lead to self-isolation, but European society's efforts for transgender are diverse. This study deals with EU-level protection strategies against transgender discrimination, especially in employment and occupation in Europe. In addition, this study investigated the relationship between transgender and oral contraceptives. In 1961, the development and distribution of the first oral contraceptives had a great impact on the world in terms of economy and society. However, not only women but also consumers who are transgender came out as the main class of hormone drugs containing estrogen and progesterone. This study examined the oral contraceptive consumption and femininity of transgender people.
As a result of the study, oral contraceptives were the cheapest hormone therapy among hormone treatments, and oral contraceptives intake was common. Despite side effects such as nausea, edema, and lethargy, oral contraceptives are booming because of the proven hormone administration effect and the perception of trans-women who long for femininity.
