Traditionally, Korean society has been called a closed society, but as the number of migrants and multicultural families increases, the need for social integration is increasing. Various studies are being conducted for this purpose, but there are not enough empirical studies on migrant hatred and preference for developed countries. want to To this end, using the results of the ‘2018 National Multicultural Receptivity Survey’, a two-way analysis was performed by setting exclusivity as an independent variable, multicultural acceptability as a parameter, and migrant hate and preference for advanced countries as dependent variables. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that the higher the independent variables, the centrality of Koreans and the exclusivity of migrants, the higher the dislike of migrants and the preference for developed countries. Also, it was found that the higher the relationship and the lower the universality, the lower the dislike of migrants. Based on the results of this study, this study is meaningful in that it identifies the need for various policy efforts to lower Korean centrality and migrant exclusivity, and provides a new perspective on the dual attitude toward migrants. On the other hand, it is expected that the limitations of this study can be supplemented in future studies by using methodologies such as the search for new factors that can influence the dual attitude toward migrants and qualitative case studies.
