In this study, the effect of eco-centered creative experience class using environmental books on the ecological sensibility and environmental literacy of 3rd graders of elementary school was investigated. The study subjects consisted of 23 students from one class of B elementary school in B Metropolitan City as an experimental group and 23 students from another class as a control group. The experimental group conducted an ecology-centered creative experience activity class using environmental books, and the control group conducted a teacher's general explanatory eco-centered creative experience activity class. The results of this study are as follows. First, the eco-centered creative experiential activity class using environmental books had an overall positive effect on the improvement of the ecological sensibility of the 3rd graders of elementary school. Compared with the control group, the experimental group to which this program was applied showed interest and interest in environmental issues, emotional stability, sympathy for nature and compassion, and a significant improvement in ecological imagination. Second, the eco-centered creative experience class using environmental books had a positive effect on the environmental literacy of the 3rd graders of elementary school. The experimental group to which this program was applied showed significant improvement in environmental knowledge, environmental emotion, and environmental practice compared to the control group.
