Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, which began in early 2020, researchers, research institutes, and academic societies have been forced to find themselves in a research environment that they have never experienced before. Even in this new embarrassing environment, research achievements comparable to previous years have been produced in the field of History of Wei-Jin-Sui-Tang Dynasties in Korea. This is largely due to the serious and sincere research attitude of individual researchers and the central role of academic societies such as The Society for Historical Studies of Ancient and Medieval China.
Exemplary and distinguished research achievements have been published such as book publications and the annotation of historical materials. In addition, a number of research papers have been published in academic journals. These articles were based on various data and research methods such as political history, governance, document administration, international relations, military management, Buddhism and imperialism.
There are also things to be interested in in promoting research in academia in the future. It is to examine the current research topics in order to know the academic tradition and creativity. In addition, it is necessary to communicate actively with researchers of Korean ancient history in order to confirm the necessity of research on the History of Wei-Jin-Sui-Tang Dynasties. And it is also necessary to strive to annotate important historical materials in order to deepen and expand researches.
