Purpose: The purpose of this study is to derive a development plan for the regional sports science center operation project based on satisfaction survey analysis.
Methods: As of December 2020, 100 samples for each center were assigned to 10 regional sports science centers nationwide, with a population of local outstanding athletes and leaders who had visited the center from January to December 2020, and 1,000 samples were collected through an online satisfaction survey. After analyzing the general situation for the collected sample, the study calculated the satisfaction importance, and analyzed the ranking. Based on the satisfaction (Y) measured for the collected sample and the importance (X) estimated through correlation analysis between performance and overall satisfaction. A IPA matrix comprised of 4 quadrants was drawn and the analysis results of the IPA matrix are as follows.
Results: The results of the IPA matrix are as follows. 1) QⅠ (keep up the good work) includes diversity of measurement equipment, management of measurement equipment, sufficiency of listening to opinions in advance, sufficient pre-explanation of measurement process, process effectiveness of measurement staff, activeness of measurement staff, expertise of measurement staff, sufficiency of measurement guidance, guidance on the risk of injury and management of injury risk. 2) QⅢ (low priority) includes reliability of measurement result, reliability in safety measurement program, satisfaction of measurement program composition, sufficiency of report information, appropriateness of measurement program’s time required, professional physical fitness centric measurement program composition, effectiveness of report, ease of understanding report, customer orientation of pre-measurement program composition, space utilization and facility management. 3) QⅡ (possible overkill) and QⅣ (concentrate here) did not find corresponding service quality items. Based on the study results, a future-oriented development plan for the regional sports science center operation project was derived.
Conclusion: Through this study, it is possible to provide basic data on the rational operation direction of the regional sports science center and the government’s policy to support sports science.
