This study is to explore the indefinite possibility of expression that character can have by investigating the changes in face expressions in terms of psychological approach and recent recognition theory in character animation. Defining the definition of character as the selection of actors and creation of character, the expression change is shown directly connected to the changes of recognition factors and contributes to the changes in recognition level. Changes in emotional expression are used as means to deliver the emotion as well as the essential of that existence. As for the expression changes in character, this study investigated the principle, establishing the hypothesis that the fixed image of first shape would be recreated as new image by reinforcing the characteristics of second expression. Recognition approach established the direction for education of basic expression in creation of character as well as expand the development of emotional expression as the creator of competitive character. As a result of interpreting the understanding on recognition structure as well as the methods to combine and modify the face of the characters, I could find the indefinite possibility of expression changes in character.
