The origin of twin pagodas in Korea is twin wooden pagodas of Sacheonwangsa site in Unified Silla. It is known that the oldest existing twin pagodas is stone twin pagodas of Gamwensa in Unified Silla. But in this article I will suggest that the first twin pagodas are stone twin pagodas of Mireuksa in Baekje which has one wooden pagoda and stone twin pagodas. Mireuksa had built by Princess Seonwha of Silla who married King Mu of Baekje and Queen Sataek of King Mu. The former who believed in Mireuk- Belief built wooden pagoda of center among three pagodas of Mireuksa. The latter who believed in Beopwha-Belief built stone twin pagodas of the east and west of Mireuksa. Mireuksa has been known three pagodas, one wooden and stone two pagodas. In fact two pagodas made by stone are the origin of twin pagodas in Korean History. The stone twin pagodas of Mireuksa in Baekjae influenced the twin pagodas of Sachonwangsa and Gamensa in Unified Silla.
