The purpose of this research was to evaluate the mediating effect of career decision-making self-efficacy and employability in the influence of career interrupted women’s perceived career barriers on career preparation behavior. Data was collected from 576 career interrupted women in Busan who participated in various questionnaires. The results were analyzed and interpreted using structural equation modeling. The results indicated that a hypothesized model produced a better fit to the data than a comparative structural model. The hypothesized model shows the following results: First, we found that perceived career barriers affected career preparation behavior. Second, there was no mediating effect from career decision-making self-efficacy on the relationship between perceived career barriers and career preparation behavior. Third, perceived career barriers achieved this through career decision-making self-efficacy and employability in order. fourth, In the model that was finally selected, perceived career barriers, career decision-making self-efficacy, and employability were able to explain 52% of career preparation behavior. Limitations of current study and suggestions for future investigations are included in the discussion.
