Report Errors
With the increasingly frequent economic and cultural communications between China and Korea, there is an increasingly urging demand for Chinese-Korean interpreters. More and more Korean learners want to learn courses about interpretation and translation, however, due to their insufficient Korean ability, they can’t directly engage in interpretation or pursue further education in graduate school of interpretation after getting a TOPIK band-6 certificate in language school. Thus, this thesis first discussed the problems foreigners met when doing interpretation, and analyzed the status quo of interpretation-targeted Korean education, and emphasized the necessity of interpretation- targeted advanced Korean education according to the shortcomings of present education. At the same time, related demand investigations have been done about interpretation- targeted advanced Korean education, and some suggestions have been put forward toward educational content based on these investigations.
