The aim of this study is the analysis on the Japanese Christianity and under the affection of it, and the descriptions revealing christian ideas in Japanese modern/contemporary literature since Meiji Epoch. In the process of this study, it is important to analyze the relation between Dazai Osamu and Bible, and to verify the Christian colour expressed in the works of Dazai Osamu. The definition of this study, first of all, it was understood that it would be the most important to verify the relation between Japanese modern･contemporary literature and Christianity, and it was analyzed that beginning the writers who are surrounding Utimura kannzo, most of them, attending the Bible-study of Utimura kannzo, they made an effort on the Bible-study for the answer for the way of living. Owing to analysis results through survey, it is understood that Dazai Osamu having read and impressed by reading the Bible study book written by Utimura kannzo. and loved the Bible. The teachings of Christ and the words of the Bible did not separate from the backstroke of Dazai Osamu and worked as the central axis of thought.
