Pupose: The purpose of the study is to identify the the rapid increase in the operation of table tennis courts for elite athletes; the importance of the leaders' safety awareness; and to increase the number of table tennis facilities. The purpose of this study is to understand, in detail, the safety consciousness of the elite leaders who operate the table tennis halls; to understand what is required to ensure safe table tennis hall environment in the future; and to provide basic data that can help raise safety consciousness. Methods: Qualitative case study methods used include indepth interviews, telephone interviews, and descriptive surveys of selected participants. A total of six leaders, former elite athletes currently operating their own table tennis clubs, were among the research participants, three male leaders and three female leaders, respectively. Conclusion: As result, categories of safety consciousness of elite leaders were classified into safety rules, safety education, and safety understanding. Although there are no safety regulations or safety inspections received from outside consultants, they had safety rules set in their own facilities and recognized that education for safety accident prevention was necessary.
