This study investigated the relationship between the safety management awareness and safety behavior for the safe and continuous participation of water sports participants . The conclusions based on the derived results are as follows. First, among safety management consciousness, safety management education was confirmed to have a significant effect on safety behavior, and safety education through continuous and various channels is considered an essential element for safety behavior. Second, among the sub-factors of safety management awareness, safety compliance have a statistically significant influence on safety behavior, requiring continuous management and update of related rules and regulations. Third, it was confirmed that the risk treatment method among safety management consciousness influenced safety behavior. It is necessary to review an integrated reporting system for convenient reporting and prompt processing. Fourth, it was confirmed that the safety understanding of safety management consciousness did not affect safety behavior, but it was judged that the measurement items consisted of negative perceptions, so a closer review is needed in subsequent studies.
