This paper investigates Korean learners' production of Russian intonation. In Russian word order is important to recognize speaker’s intent. The reason is that speaker’s intent influences word order. Topic, old information, is followed by focus, new information, in neutral sentences. In addition to this, intonation plays a important role to convey speaker’s intent. In this paper I try to understand that Korean learners pronounce proper intonation according to speaker’s intent, or not. The result shows that Korean learners pronounce focus, which is located in front and middle of sentence, accurately with high pitch accent. But they don’t pronounce focus, which is located in end of sentence, accurately. Pause is the other characteristic to distinguish focus from topic. But many Korean learners don’t make pause between topic and focus. In conclusion, Korean learners pay little attention to intonation to perceive speaker’s intent.
