Without self recognition of modern movements in architecture the spatial structure and concept of school in Korea has been followed that of a modern school adapted since the Japanese colonial era. The origin of the spatial structure and the concept of the modern school adapted is "a ethical steam engine" which was designed for enlightening children worked at factories in Scotland and Wales, also British colonies, in the period of the industrial revolution. The modern school is devised with 6 crucial concepts such as a theater inverted, rule & discipline, keep silence, productive work, order of rank and religious symbolism. Without developing the form of school continues until the middle of the 20th Century. Architects echoing structuralism suggested new paradigm of school which was user-centre place. Four structural frames, which is so useful to derive hidden structure from the modern school, can be founded from the schools suggested. They are path, blank space, In-Between, and visual focus.
