This paper has attempted to study against the collapse of North Korea since the death of Kim Il Sung. I concentrate on the reason why the North Korea has not collapsed through a variety of cultural approaches. Up to present, there are so many opinions and internal and external environments about the North Korea-collapse-theory, but the Kim Jong-un's regime is still existed. This shows the limits of the North Korea-collapse-theory. This study investigates various cultural factors that maintain the North Korean regime. In this study, I insist that cultural factors keep the North Korea regime as followings; the influence of Confucianism, the influence of mental culture, the emphasis on nationalism and the Juche idea, the absence of civil society, the emotional control, and a giant religious state.
