The purpose of this study is to find ways to setup the role of the Support Center for Urban Regeneration as an intermediary support organization. Theories on urban regeneration and intermediate support organizations were investigated first, and the current status of the establishment and operation of urban regeneration support centers nationwide was investigated. A qualitative research method was selected since the subject is not able to be quantified or generalized. Three research themes were selected, and seven research participants were selected to proceed with in-depth interviews. As a measure to establish the role of urban regeneration support center, the role of the wide-area urban regeneration support center is needed, and the system is focused more and more on the upper part of each urban regeneration support center, and the functions of residents closer and closer to the lower part were derived. The limitations of this study are that it is not a role search for urban regeneration support centers across the country, and there are limitations to its representativeness. If future research is conducted on the form of establishment and operation for the entire Urban Regeneration Support Center, it could be used as an important basis for establishing clearer required functions and roles.
