This study is focused on the pension system of police in japanese colonial rule. During the Japanese colonial rule, a pension was provided to government employees by law. For the public servants at this time, the pension was very significant as the economic base of the members. As a result, pensions were recognized as a very important issue for them, just as in modern society. Every time the law was changed by the government, public officials were greatly disturbed, and these influences were clearly revealed in the police. In this study, tried to clarify this trend through public opinion at that time and statistical data of the police. From these data, pensions were very important to the police at the time. Many police textbooks were referring to pensions. And it means that pensions were important to the choice of career. Also many police officers resigned shortly after satisfying their pension payment requirements, usually retired within eight to ten years, Because of the low wages and difficulty of reemployment. The pensions were an important factor for the police, but the Korean police officers were discriminated against the Japanese. Koreans received less pension than Japanese, and they needed more time to get it.
