Recently, the space of creation-residence that have supported only the project for the artist is trying to communicate with the people, in other words everyone or anyone. And so, it is very important to expand that space into the local place where the everyone or anyone could create their own cultural activities and artistic performance, etc.
So, we try to grope for a solution to accelerate the operation of Gyeonggi Creation Center, which is lolocated at Daebudo Islands, not only as the space for the artistes, but also as the place for everyone or anyone to meet the artist, to experience the creation project and to participate the art education programs.
As that possible solution, we could suggest two purpose : the intensification of creative abilities for the artiste and connection with local society or culture for everyone. To achieve the first purpose, Gyeonggi Creation Center should develop the nice and safe environment, supply programs for meeting with other artists, and guarantee the opportunity to product and diffuse the work of art. And for everyone, it should diversify the art education programs, for example the field of painting, sulpture, photography, installation, media art, music, dance, etc.
At last, Gyeonggi Creation Center could play a role as an open platform by maintaining the network with the museum, the culture foundation, the gallery, etc.
