This study is a preceding study for designing Chinese pedagogical grammar, and the purpose of this study is to clarify the concept of pedagogical grammar, and illuminate the value of pedagogical grammar as an independent study. Furthermore, in the future, this study attempts to consider what direction pedagogical grammar should be studied. First of all, before understanding what pedagogical grammar in Chapter 2, this study arranges about what is grammar, and what kind of research has been conducted in relation to grammar to look at the establishment process of the Western traditional?normative grammar, and in Chapter 3, also carefully considers the terms used in relation to pedagogical grammar, such as normative grammar, school grammar, pedagogical grammar, educational grammar, etc. to discuss how pedagogical grammar should be designed. In Chapter 4, this study attempts to examine how the school grammar was established for Chinese language education in the development process of Chinese grammar research, how it affected pedagogical grammar for foreigners, and nowadays in Korea how pedagogical grammar research for Korean learners is progressing. Lastly, in the conclusion, through this, this study attempts to present an opinion on the direction that Chinese pedagogical grammar should go forward in future.
