Although kiwifruit (Actinidia chinensis) has been grown commercially since several decades, little has been published on the viral diseases in Korea. In this study, we aimed to determine the viral diseases in kiwifruit. Kiwifruit leaf samples showing virus infection and abnormal symptoms were collected from two major kiwi cultivation areas in Korea. A total 23 samples were collected; samples showing mosaic, yellowing, and malformation were mainly observed. To identify the plant virus, high-throughput sequencing (HTS), reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), and sequence determination were performed.
