This study aimed to look back the flow of researches on Korean educational administration, and also to research the academic tasks for the future development and the actual significance, by analyzing the trend of theses published in 'The Journal of Educational Administration' Therefore, it analyzed 1433 theses published in 'The Journal of Educational Administration' for about 33 years focusing on research theme & method by categorizing them. In the results of analysis in the aspect of research theme, first, the research theme of theses published in ‘The Journal of Educational Administration’ has been gradually diversified. Second, the percentage of the published research themes has been changing by quite sensitively responding to time flow or field interest. Third, the percentage of researches on theories of educational administration has been considerably decreased as time passed. In the results of analysis in the aspect of research method, first, there was the unequal distribution of specific research methods depending on time. Second, in spite of the unequal distribution of research methods, there was a continuous tendency to diversify research methods. In conclusion, the significance of ‘The Journal of Educational Administration’ is to establish the theoretical/practical basis of Korean educational administration. However, there are certainly tasks for greater development and rapid progress of 'the Journal of Educational Administration'.
