This study aims to reveal the self-reflective cognitive structure of Liangzhi(良知) based on the perspective of consciousness-only doctrine(唯識學).
The specific research method is as follows. The present study presents the epistemological similarity between two theories in detail by comparing the major cognitive elements of Yangming philosophy and the consciousness-only doctrine, which is the cognitive subject(意), cognitive object(物), Liangzhi(良知) for the former, and the aspect of cognizing(見分), aspect of being cognized(相分), store-consciousness(阿賴耶識) for the latter.
Depending on this similarity, the doctrine of conditioned arising of store-consciousness(阿賴耶識緣起) is applied to the cognitive structure of Yangming philosophy centered on the concept of Liangzhi.
The study results show that Liangzhi, an immutable and fundamental mind, exists: ① The cognitive objects are created by the cognitive function of Liangzhi; and ② the cognitive subject which is generated from Liangzhi exist. Simultaneously, the cognitive structure; that is, the generated subject recognizes the created objects, is established. This is what this study calls ‘the self-reflective cognitive structure of Liangzhi.’
Through the cognitive structure as mentioned above, the epistemological crux of Yangming philosophy, ‘mind shapes everything’, can be properly grasped.

본 연구는 유식학(唯識學)의 관점을 통해 왕양명(王陽明) 철학을 유심론적으로 해석하고 그 구조를 분석하여 ‘양지(良知)의 자기인식적 인식구조’를 제시함으로써 양명철학의 해석 지평을 넓히는 것을 목적으로 한다. 기존 심외무물의 해석에서 왕양명 사상 특유의 ‘인식’과 ‘존재’를 통합한 유심론적 관점을 배제한 것을 문제의 단초로 삼아, 이 논문은 인식론과 존재론을 포섭하는 일종의 유심적인 인식론의 해석 가능성을 살펴볼 것이다. 이러한 통합적 관점을 얻기 위해, 인식으로 존재를 포섭하는 이론인 유식학의 인식구조를 토대로 왕양명 철학의 인식구조를 탐구해 본다. 구체적인 방법으로 양명학과 유식학의 주요 인식요소들을 비교분석하여, 의(意)ㆍ물(物)ㆍ양지(良知)와 견분(見分)ㆍ상분(相分)ㆍ아뢰야식(阿賴耶識) 간의 높은 인식론적 유사성을 상세히 살펴본다. 이와 같은 심일원론적(心一元論的) 인식구조의 유사성에 비추어, 유식학의 아뢰야식연기를 양명학의 양지를 중심으로 하는 인식구조에 적용한다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 우선, 불변하는 근원적 마음인 양지가 존재한다. ① 이 양지의 인식작용에 기반하여 창조된 외부의 인식 대상[萬物], ②그리고 양지로부터 감응되어 발생한 의념(意)이 존재한다. ③그리고 발생한 의념(意)이 그 작용을 통해 물(物)을 동시적으로 인식하는 구조가 해석될 수 있다. 이것을 ‘양지의 자기인식적 인식구조’라고 할 수 있다. 이와 같은 인식구조를 통해 일체는 마음[良知]에 포섭된다는 왕양명 철학의 인식론적 핵심을 유심론적 지평 속에서 이해할 수 있다.
